The dawn of the AI era is spreading across all aspects of our lives. AI is at the core of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which presents fundamentally different challenges than previous industrial revolutions. Previous industrial revolutions have greatly improved the well-being of humanity and brought about material prosperity. Today, however, the advent of the AI era raises questions that are qualitatively different from those of past industrial revolutions. The emergence of AI is likely to take over many of the specialized knowledge activities that were once considered uniquely human and creative. This is because it is not theoretically impossible for AI robots to take over specialized knowledge-based jobs. And preaching will be no exception to this impact. There may come a time when an A.I. preacher will look exactly like a human and preach to a congregation. Even if an AI preacher appears, it will be fundamentally different from a human preacher's sermon. Therefore, this paper will examine the questions that will be posed to the field of preaching due to the advent of the AI era and discuss what are the preaching alternatives in the AI era. For this purpose, we will examine the identity of preaching in the age of artificial intelligence and present empirical preaching as a methodology that can be presented as a preaching alternative in the age of artificial intelligence.
