This Short article attempts to analyze the phenomenal crises of public worship in the time of new normal and even endeavors to propose a direction and pastoral task of renewing public worship in a Reformed perspective. The experience of worship in the new normal has led to a weakening of the centrality of public worship in faith formation and a shrinking of the dialogue structure of between God and worshipers. This phenomenon leads to crises such as reinforcing individualistic participation in public worship, confusing simple connectedness and voluntary participation with true communality, and reducing or omitting components of public worship as we become accustomed to reduced components of worship. In this phenomenon and crisis, Reformed theology clearly orients the practice of public worship according to biblical principle. The Reformed practical responses to the crisis of public worship presented in this article are as follows: (1) strengthening the centrality of public worship practice for the connection between faith and life, (2) resisting individualistic participation in worship, (3) strengthening the communality of worship through the components of the sharing of hospitality and passing of peace, (4) presenting the publicity of worship through public confession of faith, and (5) strengthening the liturgical practice of public theology through intercessory communal prayer.
