- 새로운 일상에서의 예배 실천을 위한 신학적 목회적 고찰 -
이 글은 뉴노멀 시대에 새로운 국면을 경험하고 있는 예배 현상에 대 한 신학적 이해와 목회적 고찰을 제시한다. 뉴노멀 시대에 경험하는 예 배의 변화는 시간과 공간 그리고 예배 구성요소와 관련한다. 첫째, 공 동예배와 일상생활 사이의 순환적 리듬에 변화를 초래했다. 장소를 중 심으로 일정한 규칙성에 따라 반복적으로 움직이는 삶의 리듬이 예배 의 주된 경험에서 멀어지고 있다. 둘째, 예배 공간에 대한 새로운 이해 와 경험을 초래했다. 예배자들이 한 장소에 모이는 것 자체가 하나님의 임재를 기계적으로 보증한다고 받아들이지 않는다. 셋째, 예배 구성요 소의 실천과 참여 방식에도 변화를 초래했다. 특히 디지털 방식의 예배 실천에서 음악의 실천과 참여가 이전과 달리 적극적인 참여에 제한을 초래한다. 이러한 변화의 상황에서 요구되는 기독교 예배의 실천적 대 안은 단지 이전의 공동예배 상황으로 돌아갈 것을 기다리거나 디지털 방식의 예배를 새로운 대안으로 제시하는 것을 넘어선다. 곧“불안전 과 혼란의 시대에 어떻게 신실하게 하나님과의 관계를 지속하는 공동 예배의 실천을 인도할 것인가?”라는 질문을 제시하고 그 답을 모색하 는 것이다. 우선 뉴노멀 시대의 예배자들은 시간의 순환적 리듬을 명확히 하고 일상과 안식의 규칙성을 통해 하나님의 백성으로서의 정체성 을 제시하는 실천을 발전시킬 수 있다. 또한 예배 실천 자체가 예배 공 간의 원래 의미를 구현하고 제시하는‘공간으로서의 예배’를 더욱 강 화할 수 있다. 마지막으로 예배 구성요소의 수용과 발전을 지속하면서 음악을 통한 감정적 몰입과 참여의 방식을 정직한 탄식의 기도 실천으 로 보완해서 성경적이고 상황에 부합하게 하나님의 임재에 참여하게 하는 실천을 강화할 수 있다.
A Theological and Pastoral Reflection on the Practice of Worship in the Context of New Normal
This article attempts to explore the ways of constructing Christian worship in the time of ‘new normal’ from a theological and pastoral perspective. The phenomenal changes of worship can be seen in the the areas of time, space, and components of worship. First, there has been changed in the relationship between public worship and daily life by disrupting the rhythmic cycle of people’s gathering and sending out. Second, worshipers have been experiencing the space of worship in a new way by accepting that gathering in a place by itself does not guarantee their participation in the presence of God. Third, the time of new normal has been leading worshipers to take the change of practicing the components of worship particularly in music. Digital worship does not easily allow worshipers to actively participate in music like before. In this flux of changes of worship, as a theological task of leading the congregation, this article attempts to give an answer to the question: “How can pastors lead the people of God to sustain their faithful relationship with God through public worship in the time of uncertainty and turmoil?” To this question, this article proposes pastoral responsibilities and tasks in relation to the matters of time, space, and components of worship. First, pastors can help worshipers articulate the practices of identifying themselves as God’s people by curating a rhythm of life regulating the pattern of worship and daily life based on time. Second, pastors can assist worshipers to emphasize the activities of worship rather than simply seeking a better place of worship from either physical space or virtual space for worship, which means that worship activities could be counted as space of worship in relation to the experiencing the presence of God. Third, pastors can provide the worshipers with appropriate ways of praying by articulating biblical and honest prayers of lament as a way of participating in the presence and hope of God, which could be an desirable alternative to the limited use of music in digital worship.
