The word of God being proclaimed presupposes the congregation. To presuppose the congregation means that not only the problems of the internal situation of the congregation, but also the external situation surrounding the congregation, and the problems of the political and social situation must be considered. Some preachers tend to dismiss sermons based on political and social situations as liberal sermons or nationalist sermons while advocating the principle of separation of religion. Preachers should know that such an understanding of preaching can cause disagreement in the congregation. This study analyzed the political and social situation of liberation and the Korean War, by what kind of biblical interpretation method representative preachers at the time captured. Based on historical sermonology, the situation at the time was described, and one representative preacher of Presbyterian Church, Methodist Church, and Holiness Church was selected and analyzed for the compositional characteristics of their sermons, the tendency to use the subject, and the tendency to use the Bible text. Objectivity was raised, and a platform for sermons was presented through this research process. To congregations seeking a biblical interpretation of the rapidly changing situation, preachers should be able to clearly convey how the timeless Word of God is being proclaimed through the principle of the Bible.
